6 July: WP’s Raeesah Khan apologises for comments that are currently under police investigation, says remarks were made “in [her] passion”, and that she “regret[s] making them” and will be “accountable for them”.
5 July: 2 police reports have been lodged against WP’s Raeesah Khan for allegedly “promoting enmity” between racial or religious groups. The alleged comments in question by Khan include a claim that “Singapore law enforcement authorities discriminated against citizens” and that “rich Chinese and white people were treated differently under the law”. Her comments appear to have been made before she was unveiled as a WP candidate.
